SAUTEED BRUSSELS SPROUTS WITH BACON

OK SO TO KEEP THE MOMENTUM GOING WITH MY THANKSGIVING SERIES. I DECIDED TO MAKE A SIDE DISH FOR MY SECOND VIDEO. NOW TYPICALLY  WITH ANY VEGETABLE SIDE DISH FOR THANKSGIVING YOU USUALLY WITH SEE SOME SORT OF COLLARD GREENS, OR GREEN BEEN CASSAROLE (AT LEAST IN MY FAMILY THAT'S THE TYPICALLY SIDE DISHES HAHA). BUT I WANTED TO DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT THIS YEAR SO I CAME UP WITH THIS SIDE DISH A FEW DAYS AGO AND RECORDED IT YESTERDAY. I HOPE YOU ENJOY!
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
1 lb brussels sprouts
3 strips bacon
1/2 white onion
1/2 cup cooking white wine
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
salt/ pepper
Grated Parmesan cheese


WE ARE GOING TO START WITH COOKING THE BACON AND ONIONS WHICH IS GOING TO FLAVOR THE PAN AND EVERYTHING ELSE THAT WE PUT IN THE PAN.

ONCE YOU SEE THE ONIONS BECOME TRANSLUCENT AND BACON CRISPING UP WHICH SHOULD BE 10 MINUTES THEN IT DONE. NEXT YOU WANT TO PUT THE BACON/ONION MIX IN A BOWL AND SET ASIDE. DON'T WORRY WE WILL BE ADDING THIS GOODNESS LATER :)! 

NOW WE WANT TO START PREPPING THE BRUSSELS SPROUTS. THIS PART MAYBE A LITTLE TIME CONSUMING BUT SITTING IN FRONT OF THE TV WATCHING "THE PEOPLE'S COUCH" MADE THIS PROCESS GO BY SO FASTER HAHA. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TAKE OFF THE HARD STEAM AT THE END, AND ANY WELTED LEAVES YOU SEE. I LIKE MINE IN BIT SIZE PIECES SO I CHOOSE TO CUT IT IN HALF. 

AFTER I PREPPED MY BRUSSELS SPROUT AND IT TIME FOR THE GOOD PART!!!! YOU NEXT WANT TO ADD THE SPROUTS TO THE SAME PAN YOU COOKED THE BACON IN! YOU WILL SEE THE PAN DRIPPINGS AND GREASE FROM THE BACON WHICH IS THE BEST PART! THAT IS WHERE ALL THE FLAVORFUL GOODNESS COMES FROM SO DON'T REMOVE IT; DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT LOL! TURN YOU STOVE BACK ON AND ADD ALL THE BRUSSELS SPROUT TO PAN.
ADD THE BUTTER, SEASON GENEROUSLY WITH SALT AND PEPPER, GARLIC, AND CRUSHED RED PEPPERS! NO IF YOU CAN STAND THE HEAT IN THEN GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN LOL IM JUST PLAYING! BUT YOU DON'T LIKE SPICY  FOOD OR CAN'T HAVE SPICY FOOD THEN YOU CAN OMIT THE CRUSHED PEPPERS

AFTER THE BUTTER HAS MELT THE SPROUT WILL BEGIN TO CHAR. ON THE OUTSIDE WHICH IS WHAT YOU WANT BUT DON'T MISTAKE CHAR FOR BURNT HAHA. IF YOU SEE YOU'RE PAN SMOKING THEN YOU ARE PROBABLY BURNING THEM!!! STOPPPPPPPPPP REMOVE THE PAN FROM THE STOVE AND LOWER HEAT.

AFTER THE SPROUT START TO CHAR THAT'S WHEN YOU WANT TO ADD THE WHITE WINE AND NOW ITS TIME TO ADD THE BACON/ONION MIXTURE BACK IN ! YUMMY I LOVE WINE!!!! STIR OCCASIONALLY AND LET IT COOK ON LOW FOR 10 MINUTES AND BAM! YOU ARE ALL DONE! HOLD ON I ALMOST FORGOT THE PARMESAN CHEESE HAHA. DON'T FORGET TO SPARKING SOME THAT ON THE TOP WHEN DONE!
